About The Eagles
The Eagles are one of Darwin District Cricket’s leading clubs, based at the iconic Kahlin Oval overlooking Cullen Bay Marina. Cricket in Darwin runs from April to September — the Dry Season — with outstanding facilities, consistent sunshine, and strong competition across all grades.
We field 7 Senior Teams, 5 Junior Teams & 2 Womens Teams.
Our senior program spans multiple grades, with turf match play and access to some of the best synthetic training facilities in the Northern Territory.
The Eagles are also recognised as Darwin’s premier touring club. We have proudly competed at the Chiang Mai Sixes Tournament in Thailand for over 30 years and travel annually to Katherine for the Nitmiluk Cup — strengthening both performance and club culture beyond our home ground.

The Darwin Eagles Cricket Club is one of Darwin District Cricket’s leading clubs, based at Kahlin Oval overlooking Cullen Bay Marina. Competing each Dry Season from April to September, the club delivers structured programs, clear competition pathways and quality facilities for players across all levels. We field seven senior mens teams, two womens teams, and five junior teams, offering turf match play and access to some of the best synthetic training facilities in the Northern Territory.
The Eagles have a strong record of success across both Two-Day and One-Day competitions. In the long format, the club has claimed 11 A-Grade Two-Day Premierships, including a dominant three-peat from 2015 to 2017. Most recently, our 2025 Two-Day Premiership capped an undefeated season and ended an eight-year drought. In limited-overs cricket, the Eagles have also claimed multiple One-Day titles, including back-to-back championships, reflecting sustained strength across formats.
This success is built on preparation, accountability and long-term development, with our Under 17s competing in five consecutive grand finals as part of a clear junior-to-senior pathway.
The club offers Woolworths Blast on Friday evenings during the first half of the season, junior teams from Under 11s through to Under 17s, senior men’s teams across seven grades from Premier to E Grade, Sunday 1s and 2s, and two women’s teams catering to both competitive and social players. Pre-season typically begins in mid-February to early March, with in-season senior training held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and junior training on Wednesdays from 4:30pm.
Beyond competition, the Eagles are established as Darwin’s premier touring club, having competed at the Chiang Mai Sixes for over 30 years and travelling annually for the Nitmiluk Cup.
The club maintains a strong community presence through key social and fundraising events throughout the season.
